Godless Gaze explores themes of identity, sacrifice and the fragile balance between
truth, power and reality. It emphasizes the importance of understanding one's past experiences and how it transforms us as individuals.Even when the faces of truth aren't beautiful - just as the bird who drinks from a pool of tears sings the most beautiful of songs - we bear witness to our pain and suffering with hope that we may illuminate a path of light for the lost and wandering.
CHARACTERS
SIRIUS XERAPHINE SYNNE
"Sirius [天狼 / Alpha Canis Majoris] is the Lieutenant General of a royal squad charged with the protection of Queen Juno - called the "Celestial Sentinels."An orphan of unconfirmed origins, she was found by a young Queen Juno, laying unconscious by a fence of morning glories outside royal grounds. Sirius was taken under the steady wings of General Nathaniel Caleb.Sirius also shares the royal name of "Synne", which was bestowed to her by the Queen Dowager, as a reminder of the kindness Queen Juno had shown to her and the favour that Sirius will one day repay.
MEA
Mea [Alpha Canis Minoris] is the familiar of Sirius and guardian of a sacred realm called Dormiveglia, the Domain of Respite.An adept in the practice of illusionary magic and dimensional manipulation, she intercepts Sirius' pursuit of the fallen kingdom of Sonnenreich, pulling her into Dormiveglia where Sirius' memories of Sonnenreich is locked away into the embrace of darkness.

Queen Juno [The Eclipsed Sun]
rules with kindness, empathy and graciousness.Queen Juno is burdened by the "Gaze of Pandora", which enables her to always see the true nature of the people around.Under the Queen Dowager's cold hands, Queen Juno slowly finds herself losing all love for the kingdom she once cherished, led by a hopeless promise of liberation in the dark.

A herald of the eternal soul's darkness in Sonnenlos Inferno [Godless Domain], Algol first gains sentience from the Queen Dowager's attempts to "have light cast only in places where it is well-deserved".As years passed, Algol gains a taste for Queen Juno's growing solitude, from which she gets her first taste of control.Algol also gains an unquenchable thirst for power when she realises the source of Queen Juno's misery - the "Gaze of Pandora."
HANA & SUI
Hana [Procyon] & Sui [Gomeisa] are Mea's little twin assistants, with Sui being the oldest of the two.Hana was born from a wish that Sui made on a star, for someone who could shine a light in places that she could never reach".The twins are also accompanied by two fish companions named Castor and Pollux.
Pluto Fomalhaut
Pluto [The Loneliest Star] is the alter-ego of Sui's when she regresses due to mental isolation, under the Queen Dowager and Algol's manipulation.In this form, she appears unfeeling and ruthless. Although she retains traces of Hana’s features after absorbing Hana’s spirit fragment, she is unable to fully recall her past existence or the sense of loss that came with it.
ZSY20 a.k.a (Yū) is an illustrator (and aspiring concept artist) whose work delves deep into the realms of human struggle, tragedy, and the pursuit of redemption. With a profound interest in human resilience, Yū aims to create original characters that embody both personal and universal battles.Yū’s creations will often include references to otherworldly forces. The Oni horns of Japanese traditional folk culture appears frequently in Yū's works, symbolizing the raw duality of the human condition—where strength and vulnerability are a recurring motif in Yū’s work.Yū also displays a fascination of the cosmos, constellations, and the endless expanse of the universe, creating a universal context for the characters by weaving them into abstract representations of stars, planets, and celestial forces, entangled in an interconnected web of struggle and rebirth.
